Ten graduates of the College of Agriculture and Food Science (CAFS), UPLB finished in the Top 10 of the 2017 licensure examination for agriculturists.
As announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last May 5, the following UPLB examinees who excelled are: Allan Taniegra Si, 3rd; Ana Mikaela Buendia Maravilla, Gladys Saculles Morado and Jecel Alon Saguindan, Jr., 5th; Elson Ian Nyl Ebreo Galang, 6th; Gene Teri Gevila Casas, 7th; Nel Oliver Bautista Mateo, 8th; Jomari Badillo Delos Reyes, 9th; Kohlin Mabborang Lallabban and Ken Guiller Artieda Vicente, 10th.
A total of 28 out of 29 or 96.55% of examinees from UPLB passed the examination given by the PRC in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
Since the inception of the licensure examination in 2003, the CAFS-UPLB has consistently led in terms of passing rate, thereby affirming its status as the country’s top agricultural school. (Apolinario L. Lantican, with info from rappler.com)
